Synchronicity

Joseph Campbell says if you are on your right path doors will open for you where walls had been.  This truth is the reason I think we look for synchronicity to mean something.  We hope its sighting will be the doorway that leads to a path.  I've found in the last 2 years that there are a lot of synchronicities, and 98% don't develop into paths.  It is valuable to appreciate synchronicities because in their own right they show how things are connected beyond our ability to have an influences this acts to make us humble and grateful.  And although some open doors will lead to more open doors most will not.

How the law of attraction works

Aaaaaahaaaaaaa...... Ohhhhhhhhh.....I understand how affirmations work.
The law of attraction is this: focus on what you want in your life, and then when it shows up, you'll see it because you've primed yourself to look for it.  You are affirming with your life that which you have thought.

Focusing on a single idea daily is one way to embed it into your subsconscious.  You are starting a subconscious dialogue.  If you write, I am abundant, and repeat this, and feel this.  As it shows up in your life, it will signal you.  "I was just thinking about this, and look here it is."  You affirm with your life what you were thinking about.  And it is true too that we get what we put our attention on.  We get what we focus on.  So be mindful of what you focus on.  The law of attraction is that what you attend to, you will see more of, and create for yourself.

Conjoined thoughts

Awe.....mazing
Gratitude
I am grateful. I am grateful. I am grateful. I am grateful.
I don't get it.  I can't see how it's unfolding, but it's unfolding none the less.

More of the story:
Be Present
not so that something can come into fruition
Just be Present
and it will unfold on its own timetable and you will be more able to react quickly because you are present.
I love you!

Let the people you love be the work you do

Let the people you love be the work you do.
There are a million ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
- Alisha's take on a Rumi quote

Synchronicity is not directional

I have long thought, that synchronicities prove something was meant to be.  I had to reconsider this truth when I met a man and the synchronicities between us were AMAZING!!!  Uncanny, unending, and unbelievable.  Well, certainly I've never experienced this before in an intimate relationship.  He must be "the one".  Well...... he wasn't.  Huh?  I didn't think that was possible.  Yet, I share a psychic connection with a child, and I'd never think it was meant to Be something, so maybe Psychic is, and it doesn't prove directionality.  Also, there have been moments of synchronicity while looking for a job.   I'm given ideas that foreshadow events.  I follow the thread, and still nothing.  It's not the job.  Huh?  I didn't think it would play out like that.  Maybe the thing is being in the flow, means you are where you need to be, but it doesn't mean any certain result will occur.  The universe doesn't value one result over another, so staying on the course doesn't mean you will get your desired result.  But I suppose even if you don't get the desired result, staying in the flow provides you will information ahead of time, and it's just a nicer way to live.  To pay attention, and follow the thread is in itself a treat, whatever the outcome.  I have one example out of three, where the outcome is what I'd hoped, but even that felt so different.  It wasn't a following the thread, a teasing out of a single direction.  It was instead, a dead run to keep up with what the universe was throwing my way.  Thank goddess (goodness) I did the work along the way, so when they needed 15 final drafts in 3 days I could hand it off instead of beginning the work.  The fact that the work was done felt like a synchronicity in itself.

Take it for what it is....a perfect moment

A perfect moment is perfect regardless of what "it means".  The sun, the wind, the shade, the spirit of the trees, the grass, running water, angel clouds, a sense of coming home, things feeling familiar, curiosities resurface.  I am lying in a grassy area in front of a county building where I've just applied for a job.  The sighting of a dragonfly and the feeling of familiarity, stops me in my tracks.  Does this mean I'm going to get the job?  It feels So right.  Today I have the awareness, "It doesn't mean this job is 'the job'.  It means the moment is perfect.  Take it in. Enjoy it.

Pretty vs. beauty

Mia Micheals said it in a way that resonated on "So you think you can dance" season 9 while coaching Lindsay on a piece called "Addiction".  Mia said, "Lindsay has to not worry about being a pretty dancer, and it's hard."  Mia trusts her skills, the ability to hold and emit the truth of the dance regardless of how it looks.  Lindsay needs to trust the choreography will hold her.  Don't worry about how you look, BE the piece is the message.  As a result we get something beautiful.  Not contrived, pretty, contained, underlined, or emphasized with blush, we get the truth fierce, startling wonderful.

Not held in the container of "pretty" you must Be with what is, and let it flow through you, and thus you may find you are sublime.  (Joseph Campbell describes tragedies as sublime in that they are honest reflections of what is, and so it may not be pretty, but it's the truth beheld that is awe inspiring.)

Pretty is contrived. It is something you do. Beauty emerges from being true to who you are.  Step out of the way and let your soul shine through.  I know I play it too safe, so concerned with being pretty, I rarely push the boundary on being beautiful.  I'm reserved in a way where I self-monitor all the time.  Those that are free are having more fun, and even are more beautiful.  Risk, sweet dancer, throwing yourself into the music!
